Responsibilities include handling payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting pre-authorization processes while ensuring confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and professional presentation.
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and documentation.
• Knowledge of medical billing procedures and data reporting.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Review and process fiscal/account records for patients' accounts.
• Verify insurance benefits and billing information by terminal or phone.
• Contact third party payers for payment post billing.
• Resolve payment and billing issues; manage revenue cycle for self-pay clients.
• Maintain accurate accounts and required signatures, demographics and correspondence.
• Monitor authorizations and claim rejections; ensure pre-authorization completion.
• Backup Receptionist duties: check-in, payments, phones, intakes, data entry.
