Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a patient access support professional to assist the Patient Access Department. You will ensure accounts have valid insurance and accurate demographics, calculate patient financial responsibility, and process payments while securing required consents and acknowledgments.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in healthcare revenue cycle or related clerical roles, with preference for 3 years of revenue cycle experience and HFMA or Certified Revenue Cycle

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
• Work Experience: 1 year in Healthcare Revenue Cycle or related clerical roles, with 3 years preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications: None required; HFMA or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare.
• Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data.
• Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents options, and processes patient payments.
• Secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices.
