Health Care Resource Center is seeking a Patient Access/Patient Account Representative for full-time, focused on patient billing and account maintenance in a healthcare setting.

The role emphasizes verifying insurance, posting payments, and resolving billing issues while upholding confidentiality and accuracy in patient records. A high school diploma and prior medical office experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with at least 2 years in a medical office.
• Customer service excellence and professional telephone etiquette.
• Knowledge of medical billing procedures and insurance concepts.
• Ability to use basic PC tools, MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review, maintain, and process patient accounts and records.
• Verify insurance benefits and billing information by terminal or phone.
• Contact payers for payment post-billing and resolve payment issues.
• Reconcile daily money and maintain accurate demographics and signatures.
• Assist with pre-authorization and monitor claim rejections.
• Backup receptionist tasks: check-in, payments, phones, and data entry.
