Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking an experienced Patient Access professional to support Medicare compliance reviews and financial interactions with patients. You will coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorization issues and ensure patients have necessary information.

The role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of HIPAA, and familiarity with EMR systems. You will work on-site in Bolingbrook, IL, delivering accurate registrations and effective payer

Qualifications

• Experience in patient financial services or revenue cycle operations.
• Familiar with Medicare/insurance processes and pre-authorizations.
• Knowledge of HIPAA rules and privacy practices.

Responsibilities

• Performs Medicare compliance reviews and issues NSNs as needed.
• Creates estimates for patient financial responsibility and collects/payments.
• Coordinates with utilization management for pre-authorizations and assists patients with information.
• Registers patients for all services, ensuring accuracy and minimizing duplication of records.
• Provides coverage of PBX and performs cashiering duties as needed.
• Delivers excellent customer service and documents conversations with patients and payers.
