Baptist Health in Louisville seeks an Admissions/Registration Coordinator to ensure reservations and pre-cert information for all scheduled admissions and to coordinate bed assignments. Strong computer skills with Excel and Microsoft applications are required.

You will assign patient rooms across medical/surgical and monitored units, and work with Behavioral Health, Rehab, Mother/Baby, Palliative Care, Pediatrics and Critical Care to optimize patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in patient registration procedures and medical terminology.
• Experience with Excel, Microsoft applications and computer keyboard.
• Prefer prior work experience with insurance verification.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, hospital personnel and other customers.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate reservations and pre-certifications for all scheduled admissions.
• Assign patient rooms for medical/surgical and monitored units.
• Coordinate bed assignments with Behavioral Health, Rehab, Mother/Baby, Palliative Care, Pediatrics and Critical Care.
• Verify insurance for scheduled admissions.
• Maintain courteous and helpful attitude toward patients, families and staff; manage high-pressure bed shortages.
