Responsibilities

• Registers patients, verifies identity and insurance, collects basic info, enters demographics.
• Uses EMR and eligibility tools; answers phones; scans documents.
• Notifies case managers and documents referrals; provides financial counseling and collects payments.
• Verifies eligibility and coverage; answers routine questions; escalates issues as needed.
• Flags duplicate records and coordinates HIPAA/compliance.

Job Responsibilities

• Patient Intake, Registration and Documentation: Registers patients, verifies identity and insurance, collects basic information, enters demographics, and scans forms.
• Administrative & Technology Operations: Scans documents, answers phones, and uses electronic medical record (EMR) and eligibility tools.
• Case Management Tasks: Notifies case managers and documents referrals.
• Financial Counseling: Provides estimates and collects payments.
• Insurance & Contract Coordination: Verifies basic eligibility and coverage.
• Inquiries & Patient Concerns: Answers routine questions and escalates issues.
• Health Information Management (HIM) Coordination: Flags duplicate records and scans identification.
• Utilization Review Coordination: Flags cases needing review.
• Compliance: Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable federal and state regulations.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
