Job summary

Shields Health Solutions seeks a Patient Support Advocate, a Pharmacy Technician who helps patients access needed medications. You will facilitate prior authorizations, assist with insurance navigation, and coordinate financial assistance to reduce treatment costs.

You will work closely with pharmacists, physicians’ offices, and care teams to ensure timely therapy, document case activity across systems, and educate patients on programs that improve adherence and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• NH state registration and/or state certification where applicable.
• National certification is strongly preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate prior authorizations with insurance companies.
• Assist patients with financial assistance programs.
• Navigate pharmacy systems to adjudicate claims and process refills.
• Document patient communications and case activity across systems.
