Job summary

AHMC Healthcare Inc. seeks an Admitting Representative for Monterey Park Hospital in the San Gabriel Valley. This part-time role covers 8-hour variable shifts, including evenings, graveyard and weekends, with days off varying.

The incumbent will greet patients, register them in the ADT system, verify insurance data, and relay information to service units. PBX rotations may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Registration and insurance verification experience.
• Knowledge of patient registration processes.
• Understanding of payer types (HMOs, PPOs, Medi-Cal, Medicare).
• Excellent customer service and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and register them into the hospital ADT system.
• Verify patient information and insurance details for service units.
• Handle PBX rotations as needed; support ER, Outpatient and direct admit transfers.

Education

BLS (AHA) certification

AB508 certification

HMO/PPO/Medicare knowledge

HIPAA & EMTALA knowledge

Bilingual English/Spanish

Customer service skills

High School diploma or equivalent

2 years healthcare admin experience
