Responsibilities

• Provides patients with information required by federal mandates and Medicare messaging.
• Receives and provides shift reports at start and end of shifts.
• Obtains consents, assignment of benefits, and releases.
• Obtains information on religious preference and affiliation.
• Initiates inquiries and ensures pre-certification and pre-authorization for services.
