Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator for the Nyack, NY location. This part-time role (4 PM–8 PM) supports patient registration, insurance verification, co-pay collection, pre-certifications and referrals to Financial Counseling.

Typical schedule is MON-FRI with alternating weekends/holidays. Responsibilities include registering patients, verifying benefits, applying charges to accounts, and coordinating with physicians and departments to ensure accurate and timely

Qualifications

• High School required.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Clerical/Billing experience preferred.
• PC experience required (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographic, clinical and insurance information.
• Collect co-pays/deductibles and assist with pre-certification or authorization.
• Pre-register patients in anticipation of arrival for services.
• Educate customers on registration issues by phone, mail or in person.
• Assist with payment options including Medicaid and financial assistance.
