Barrington Community Unit School District 220 is seeking a Pathways Counselor to provide critical academic and social-emotional counseling services to students in the Alternative Pathways Program at Barrington High School. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling and a valid Illinois Professional Educator License, with experience in educational settings preferred.
The counselor will support student growth and development, assisting with college readiness, career planning, and individual academic counseling. Work hours are scheduled from 3:30 P.M. to 6:20 P.M., Monday to Thursday.
The Pathways Counselor plays a critical role in supporting students within the Alternative Pathways Program by providing academic, social-emotional, and post-secondary counseling services. The counselor helps students develop into self-reliant, productive individuals by addressing a range of academic, personal, and career planning needs.
