Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas seeks a Pathway Initiatives Specialist to coordinate work-based learning and career pathways across the region. You’ll partner with schools, higher ed, employers, and community groups to expand opportunities and align programs with regional workforce needs.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree (preferred) and 3+ years in education, workforce development, or related fields, with strong communication and organization. Travel across the region is expected.
Pathway Initiatives Specialists coordinate work-based learning opportunities and support the development of career pathways across the West Central Texas region. This position works closely with employers, school districts, higher education institutions, and community partners to expand career-connected learning opportunities, strengthen regional workforce initiatives, and prepare students for high-demand careers.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred. Comparable and relevant experience may substitute year-for-year for a four-year degree. A minimum of three years of experience in education, workforce development, program coordination, partnership development, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should possess strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills and be willing to travel throughout the region.
