Brown University Health is seeking a per diem clinical laboratory technician for The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI.
The role involves performing routine blood and urine cultures, preparing reagents, and running automated tests under supervision and with adherence to quality controls.
Under the general supervision of the Pathology Manager or Technologists—who are available to handle or advise on unusual situations—and in accordance with specific and detailed instructions or procedures, conducts clinical laboratory tests. Work is differentiated from that of a technologist in the areas of independent judgment, complexity of tests, and responsibility.
