Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC is seeking a Support Services Supervisor to lead the Pathology department's non-technical staff. The role supports specimen prep, staffing, and quality assurance in a high-volume lab environment.

The position requires strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with overtime as needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Strong computer skills; Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the non-technical staff for the Pathology department.
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor non-technical personnel of the department.
• Monitor daily lab workflow and schedule coverage.
• Ensure shifts are properly staffed.
• Research and resolve production errors and escalate when needed.
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.
• Perform quality assurance checks for efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents.
• Provide coaching to direct reports and develop staff.
