Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC is seeking a Lab Assistant to support specimen processing and basic testing workflows. The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and comfort handling biological specimens. Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Responsibilities include receiving specimens, preparing them for analysis, data entry, equipment checks, and maintaining a clean, compliant work area. Prior lab experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
