Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Team Leader to oversee day-to-day operations of the department and ensure accurate, timely test results. This role drives quality control, staff training, and compliance with SOPs in a high-volume clinical lab.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science and 4+ years of clinical lab testing experience, with ASCP/AMT certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 4+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor with day-to-day operations of the Department/Lab Name department.
• Send daily, weekly and monthly productions reports to management.
• Assist with training of new hires and development of current employees.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.
