Job summary

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center in Ashtabula, OH, US is seeking a full-time Medical Director to supervise the Department of Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Services. PA support on site will assist with grossing and front office tasks.

The role includes leadership of a general surgical pathology practice, participation in Tumor Board and on-call coverage, with no autopsies performed. Ohio license and board-certified pathology credentials are required.

Qualifications

• MD./D.O. with Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
• Ohio Medical License.
• Experience in hematopathology a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Laboratory Director.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Critical and strategic thinking.
• Experience in medical staff functions, working knowledge of hospital operations, quality improvement and strategic planning.
• The ability and desire to interact with medical center physicians, hospital administration and laboratory staff.
