Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee daily operations of the clinical laboratory under the Director. You will ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality performance, oversee point‑of‑care testing, and collaborate with nursing and medical staff to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or closely related field is required.
• 5 years of clinical experience with at least 2 years in supervisory roles.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for (required).
• Management of Clinical Laboratory certification by ASCP/AMT/AAB is required.
• Management of Anatomic Pathology certification (HTL/HT/CT) by ASCP is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee departmental operations of the Laboratory.
• Ensure compliance of point-of-care testing and affiliated offsite areas.
• Monitor operations for safe, efficient, and high-quality performance.
• Collaborate with nursing, administrative, medical and other staff to coordinate patient care.
