Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is looking for a qualified Histology Technician to join our laboratory team in Atlanta. The successful candidate will organize and staff work activities while providing essential laboratory services to patients of all ages.

This role requires four years' experience as a histology technician and ASCP certification. Proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication skills are also necessary. This position offers regular work hours with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

Organizes, and staffs the work activities of the laboratory during each shift to provide laboratory services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Four (4) years’ experience as a histology technician and have ASCP certification as a histology technician.
• Must submit to color vision acuity test. Color vision acuity is required to safely perform the duties of this position.

PREFERRED

• Computer skills: knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel); basic statistics skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• BS degree in science
• Certified as a HT or HTL (ASCP).
• Two years of Supervisory and/or management experience in a histology laboratory.

Work Hours

Mon - Fri: 7:00am - 3:30pm with rotating weekends
