Northside Hospital Inc. in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking a Histology Tech to support the pathology lab operations. You will receive, prepare, and process surgical specimens for analysis in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, along with ASCP HT/HTL certification and at least 1 year of histology experience. Color-acuity screening is required. Evening/night hours are Tue-Fri, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

• Work hours on site: Tue–Fri, 9:00 PM–7:30 AM.

Responsibilities

Develops and monitors the work activities in the Histology Lab and the Morgue. Performs routine histological activities of receiving, preparing, and processing surgical specimens for patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education
• Current HT/HTL Certification through American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
• One (1) year experience as a Histology Tech.
• All applicants must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test.

PREFERRED

• Immuno chemistry experience and/or training.
• Bachelor\'s degree in science, plus successful completion of a formal histology tech program
• Attention to detail, good physical dexterity, and good written and oral communication skills.

Work Hours:

Tues-Fri, 9PM-7:30AM
