Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Orlando, FL seeks a Laboratory Operations Coordinator to support daily operations in the Department of Pathology/Clinical Laboratory. This role assists physicians, administrators, and business partners in coordinating reports, data, and workflow.

Responsibilities include managing LIS/EMR workflows, supporting QM activities, coordinating outpatient specimen processing, meetings, travel, licenses, and vendor engagements to ensure timely and accurate pathology services.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in healthcare administration, clinical or business sciences.
• Minimum of one to three years' experience in a relevant role.
• Prefer experience in a hospital pediatric pathology department.
• Prefer experience with laboratory quality management and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Manage laboratory and pathology reports using LIS, EMR, and third-party portals.
• Support quality management activities, including reports and KPI data.
• Coordinate outpatient specimen collection and verify services rendered.
• Coordinate meetings and conferences for physicians and leadership, including AV/setup.
• Assist with pathology materials content and photography editing as directed by pathologists.
• Process invoices and payment requests; audit payments for accuracy.
• Coordinate travel for physicians and visiting candidates or presenters.
• Manage physician licenses, renewals, and academic appointments.
• Assist with journals searches and access to pathology materials.
