Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Laboratory Leader to oversee departments within the Methodist Hospital Laboratory and The Pathology Center. You will guide budgeting, staff development, and operations to ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on strategic planning, performance improvement, and collaboration with physicians and IT to drive lab services forward and meet accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science with lab experience.
• MBA or MA completed within three years of hire.
• Minimum of three years’ clinical lab experience; four years' upper management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to hospital laboratory departments and the Pathology Center.
• Plans, budgets, and manages human resources for the laboratory.
• Develops strategic plans and growth initiatives for laboratory operations.
• Ensures quality, safety and regulatory compliance across lab services.
