Job summary

Tempus, Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Pathology Lab Coordinator to support clinical testing workflows and accurately abstract data from patient documents.

You will collaborate with pathologists and histotechnologists to ensure efficient specimen processing and contribute to multiple workflows, including pathology and IHC reviews. Ideal candidates have a biological science background, pathology lab experience, and strong note-taking and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Biological Science with anatomy or molecular biology coursework
• Pathology or Histotechnology lab experience preferred; anatomy experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology is highly preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining professionalism
• Ability to communicate effectively with teams across Tempus in person and email
• Highly organized with superb attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately
• Show initiative in a fast-paced environment
• Desire to work as part of a high-level team while working independently on mission‑critical tasks
• Strong note-taking skills and/or experience transcribing spoken word to text
• General office equipment and software knowledge including Mac OS

Responsibilities

The expected salary range may vary for other locations. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
