The Pathology Lab Assistant is responsible for organizing, and prepping slides; as well as maintaining proper documentation, equipment and supplies needed for the pathology lab.
High school diploma or GED required; working knowledge of biology, chemistry, histology, immunology, and mathematics is required; 1 year of clinical experience in the pathology setting preferred; 1 year of experience working with CLIA regulatory requirements is a plus. Pathology Lab Assistant must be computer literate and able to operate multiple Microsoft Office applications.
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment; ability to work 2nd and 3rd shift hours required. Travel as business needs require.
