Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a pathology laboratory technician to accurately process Level 1 specimens. The role requires meeting CLIA-88 high complexity criteria and an associate degree in laboratory science or MLT.

You will work with laboratory staff to ensure quality results and patient safety, performing pre-analytical and post-analytical steps as part of a busy histology team. Responsibilities include routine QC, team collaboration, and proper use of equipment while maintaining documentation

Qualifications

• Meets qualifications as high complexity testing personnel under CLIA-88.
• Education/training includes 60 semester hours with 24 MT or 24 science hours in chemistry/biology.
• Laboratory training approved by ASHES/NAACLS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Process Level 1 pathology specimens accurately and timely.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and emotional intelligence in performance.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment per procedures.
• Perform QC procedures and document results with follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with team and communicate clearly to ensure quality care.
• Perform pre-analytical and post-analytical steps and document findings.
