Platinum Dermatology Partners Llc is seeking a Laboratory Technician to assist in routine tests used in diagnosis and treatment. The role involves gross examination of tissue specimens, slide preparation, and ensuring fast turnaround times while maintaining CLIA, HIPAA, and safety compliance.

Candidates should have an AS/BS in a related field and ASCP certification, with the ability to lift and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of medical terminology and standard diagnostic laboratory protocols.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and follow CLIA regulations.
• Maintain accurate slides, reports, logs, and inventories.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examination of tissue specimens following protocol.
• Finish grossing of tissue specimens on the same day.
• Prepare slide prep specimens for microscopic evaluation the same day.
• Operate, clean, and sterilize laboratory equipment and glassware.
• Maintain OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance in all duties.
