Job summary

ICOM Pathology Department seeks a non-tenured faculty member to educate medical students across pre-doctoral didactic and clinical programs, collaborating with the Department Chair and colleagues to develop curricula that integrate specialties in team-based learning.

Responsibilities include teaching, advising, research, service, and participation in committees, with opportunities to engage in curriculum design, student mentoring, and diversity initiatives within ICOM.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in a related/educational/professional field.
• Substantial record of success as an educator in medical education.
• Experience with curricular and instructional design and training.
• Experience using innovative teaching methods (team-based learning, flipped classroom, PBL, distance learning).

Responsibilities

• Teach in didactic preclinical and/or course material for years 1–4.
• Advise students on academic, curricular and career matters.
• Engage in research and development of departmental programs.
• Participate in courses/lectures/workshops to meet curricular needs.
• Work with Department Chair and Dean on training and diversity initiatives.
