Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred 1 year of accessioning or pathology experience.
• Must communicate clearly in English and follow HIPAA rules.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and independently.

Responsibilities

• Receive, accession, track and disperse pathology cases from outside facilities.
• Order special stains, molecular and cytogenetic studies as requested.
• Return COS cases to submitting facilities.
• Coordinate sending PBM surgical material for molecular/cytogenetic testing.
• Send paraffin blocks and slides to outside labs as needed for testing.
• Scan reports including Oncotype/Agendia to network drives.
• Create invoices for PBM cases for research studies.
• Retrieve and disperse cases for QA reviews and external opinions.
• Assist with CLIA preparation and inspections as needed.
• Help with credentialing and licensing tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
