Job summary

Altasciences is seeking a Pathology Associate to provide high-quality processing of pathological specimens, including gross examinations, necropsies, tissue trimming and processing according to SOPs.

You will train on core procedures, operate the EDCS system, maintain necropsy suites and equipment, review protocols, and support waste management, inventory, and facility records while collaborating with a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; associates degree or HS diploma acceptable.
• 1 year of biological science or lab experience if degree not met.
• Working knowledge of anatomic biology.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Advanced math skills for scientific data handling.

Responsibilities

• Process pathological specimens including gross examinations and necropsies.
• Trim tissues and perform tissue processing per SOPs.
• Maintain necropsy suites and pathology lab areas; manage instruments and equipment.
• Review protocols and attend protocol reviews and meetings.
• Assist with chemical management, waste management, and inventory control.
• Keep facility records up to date and support EDCS data entry.
