Job summary

Altasciences is seeking a Pathology Associate in Everett, WA to perform gross examinations, necropsies, and tissue processing following SOPs. The role includes training on core protocols, maintaining necropsy suites, and supporting quality checks and data capture. The ideal candidate has a B.S.

or A.A. with 6 months to 1 year of biological science experience, strong English skills, and a detail-oriented, problem-solving attitude.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science preferred; Associates degree acceptable.
• 6 months to 1 year biological science or lab experience if B.S./B.A. not met.
• Working knowledge of anatomy and biology.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Basic computer skills; MS Office Suite required.
• Aptitude for pathology and histology techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examinations, necropsies, and tissue processing per SOPs.
• Train on core SOPs and lead study setup
• Maintain necropsy suites and lab equipment
• Quality control review and protocol adherence
• Manage inventory, waste, and chemical stock
• Assist with archiving and data capture in EDCS
• Support on-call policy and GLP training
