Qualifications

• Master's degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program.
• Strong foundation in anatomy, pathology, and specimen management.
• PA certification preferred or must obtain PA(ASCP) within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examination, description, dissection, and sampling of surgical pathology specimens under pathologist supervision.
• Assist with intraoperative consultations, including frozen section preparation.
• Perform postmortem examinations and related specimen handling as applicable.
• Ensure accurate specimen identification, labeling, and documentation throughout the gross examination process.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support timely and accurate diagnoses.
