Austin Pathology, Anatomic Division of Sonic Healthcare USA, is seeking a Pathologist Assistant to support surgical pathology services in a hospital-based setting in Austin, TX.

Location: Austin, TX 78701. Days: Monday–Friday. No weekends, no on-call. Full-time: Benefit Eligible. New graduates welcome; NAACLS accredited PA program and ASCP licensure (or eligible within 30 days of hire) required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologists Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Perform macroscopic evaluations on specimens.
• Provide frozen section coverage.
• Worker
• Assist pathologist in pathology reports on malignant cases.
• Prepare material for tumor board presentations.
• Maintain the dissecting space including temperature logs and supplies.
