Job summary

Austin Pathology, Anatomic Division of Sonic Healthcare USA, in Austin, TX is seeking a Pathologists' Assistant to perform macroscopic evaluations, handle frozen section coverage, triage fresh tissue for lymphoma, assist pathologists with reports, and gather material for tumor board presentations.

New graduates welcome; requires NAACLS accredited program completion and ASCP licensure (or eligibility within 30 days of hire). Schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, on-site in Austin.

• Completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologists' Assistant program.
• ASCP licensure (or eligible with completion within 30 days of hire).

• Frozen section coverage
• Triage fresh tissue for lymphoma
• Assist pathologist in obtaining pertinent pathology reports on malignant cases
• Gather material for tumor board presentations
• Maintain the dissecting space (eg. temperature logs, stain line, supplies)

Days: Monday - Friday. No weekends, no on-call
