Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited Pathologist Assistant program.
• Certification by the American Association of Pathologist Assistants within 12 months of hire.
• 1 year of experience is strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of human anatomy, macrosurgical techniques, and general laboratory skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performance of surgical pathology services under the supervision of a pathologist.
• Triage specimens and prepare tissue for microscopic study.
• Document and maintain records of surgical pathology dissections and reports.
• Perform specialized procedures such as frozen sections and decalcification.
• Coordinate with trainees and staff in training scenarios.
• Maintain and order supplies for the laboratory.

Education
