Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program is required.
• Pathologists’ Assistant certification with PA(ASCP) preferred at hire; renewal as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examination, description, dissection, and sampling of surgical pathology specimens under the supervision of a pathologist.
• Submit tissue sections for microscopic examination with accurate documentation.
• Review clinical history and imaging to guide specimen examination.
• Assist with intraoperative consultations, including frozen sections as applicable.
• Assist with postmortem examinations and related specimen handling.
