Qualifications

• Master of Science in pathology-related field.
• Pathologists’ Assistant degree required.
• ASCP certification or eligibility or Illinois license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs gross examination and dissection of biopsies and large/complex specimens with proper specimen identification.
• Prepares materials for imaging and photographs; maintains imaging equipment and files.
• Assists pathologists with intraoperative consultations and specimen handling per SOP.
