Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Highlands Ranch seeks a skilled Pathologist Assistant to provide services in anatomic pathology. This role involves grossing surgical pathology specimens, performing frozen sections, and assisting the Attending Pathologist. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an accredited Pathology Assistant Program and be Board Certified. Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Flex

Pay: $44.33 - $66.50 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Location Option: This position is onsite and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary

Provides services in anatomic pathology under the direction of Pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Grosses simple, non-complicated and complex surgical pathology specimens, with possible inclusion of dermatology specimens.
• Performs frozen sections, and provides coverage and support as needed.
• Aids Attending Pathologist.
• Obtains pertinent clinical information and history. Maintains Patient Confidentiality by following Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Pathology Assistant Program.
• Pathologists' Assistant Board Certified or exam eligible with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
