Qualifications

• Master's degree and Pathologist's Assistant title or equivalent.
• ASCP certification or eligible for certification.
• Maintain 45 ASCP CME credits over 3 years to maintain certification.
• Experience in a CAP/CLIA certified Anatomic Pathology Laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cutting room activities in surgical pathology.
• Perform routine gross dissection of anatomic pathology specimens and autopsies with attending pathologist consultations.
• Supervise the autopsy diener and assist with intraoperative consultations as needed.
• Participate in teaching programs for residents, students and others in the department.
• Engage in CQI audits and studies and maintain confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
