Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield in Missouri seeks a full-time AP/CP BC/BE pathologist to join our team of 7 anatomic pathologists and a clinical pathologist. Strong general surgical pathology skills are required; fellowship training in Cytopathology, Gynecologic pathology, or GI/liver pathology is preferred.

3+ years independent sign-out experience is favored, but exceptional candidates will be considered. We offer a Monday-Friday schedule with shared weekend and holiday call, no weekend sign-out,

Qualifications

• Board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology (AP/CP).
• 3+ years of independent sign-out experience preferred.
• Fellowship training in Cytopathology, Gynecologic pathology, or GI/liver pathology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sign-out surgical pathology cases with frozen sections.
• Limited clinical laboratory responsibilities.
• Assist in lymphoma workups; no autopsies.
