Qualifications

• Current NYS license or eligibility to obtain license as Pathologist’s Assistant.
• ASCP certification or equivalent credential.

Responsibilities

• Performs general Pathologist’s Assistant duties with supervision.
• Reviews patient history at time of grossing.
• Assists with the processing of frozen section specimens.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to SOPs and quality practices.

Education

Master’s degree in health science, Pathologists’ Assistant

New York State license as Pathologist’s Assistant or eligible to obtain
