Qualifications

• Certification as a Pathologists' Assistant (PA) within 1 year from ASCP.
• Completion of a Pathology Assistant training program.
• Experience working with surgical and postmortem specimens, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparation, gross description, and dissection of surgical specimens.
• Assisting with frozen section evaluation, including tissue selection, cryotomy, and intraoperative staining.
• Performing human postmortem examinations, including specimen dissection and sample submission.
• Dictating gross findings and ensuring specimen integrity and safety.
