Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Pathologist Assistant program.
PA (ASCP) Certification required within 6 months of hire if not already certified.
1–2 years of Pathologist Assistant experience preferred.
Education and training meeting CLIA requirements.
Strong knowledge of histologic techniques, laboratory safety, and infection control.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Accession, dissect, and perform gross descriptions of surgical specimens.
Perform postmortem examinations including evisceration and dissection.
Assist with organ sampling, photography, and archival documentation.
Support frozen section preparation, staining, and processing.
Maintain morgue cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance.
