Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Pathologists' Assistant to join the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory in Needham, MA 02494. This is a 3‑Month assignment with the possibility of extension.

The role involves accurate gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens following CAP standards. The ideal candidate will have strong grossing experience in a high‑volume, CAP‑accredited laboratory, a Master’s degree and HTL (ASCP) certification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Pathologists' Assistant studies or related field.
• 3-5 years of grossing experience in a CAP-accredited laboratory.
• OR HTL (ASCP) certification with 3-5 years of grossing experience in a CAP-accredited laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of surgical pathology grossing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Gross and examine surgical pathology specimens following laboratory protocols.
• Process GI, prostate, breast core biopsies, skin excisions, GYN, POC, and other small biopsy specimens.
• Ensure accurate specimen documentation and reporting.
• Maintain compliance with CAP, laboratory, and quality assurance standards.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support workflow.
• Utilize laboratory information systems for specimen tracking and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic Beaker.
• Dragon Voice dictation software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Additional Information:

• Shift: Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM /40 Hours/Week
• Contract: 3 Months with possible extension

Travel Gross Pay: $2650 - $2760/Week
