Job summary

The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) invites applications for a full-time Physician (Pathologist) in Tucson, AZ. The position combines clinical, administrative, and teaching responsibilities, including educating pathology residents.

Board-certified or eligible in anatomical and clinical pathology is required, with cytopathology experience preferred. Expect a rigorous academic environment within a large VA medical center offering involvement in resident training, multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• US citizenship or eligible to work in the United States.
• MD/DO degree from a school approved for VA employment.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Board certification/eligibility in anatomical & clinical pathology.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic interpretation of surgical pathology and cytopathology specimens.
• Offer clinical laboratory consultation to staff and clinicians.
• Participate in teaching residents, medical students, and staff.
• Support quality assurance measures and inter-laboratory comparisons.
