Job summary

Dollar General seeks a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in staffing, inventory, stocking, and store needs. This role is for developing external candidates for the Store Manager position and is limited in duration.

You will lead by example, assist in recruitment, merchandising, inventory accuracy, ordering practices, and cash handling, while maintaining a safe, clean store and adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of retail experience preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train staff and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stock handling.
• Assist in inventory management and deposits.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Help manage store opening/closing and cash controls.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
