Job summary

HG Law LLP, a full-service IP law firm with offices in New York City, San Jose, and London, invites rising seniors and Master’s students in Engineering to join as Technical Advisor Interns for a June–August 2027 internship in New York City and San Jose. You'll work closely with experienced attorneys on patent-related matters and gain hands-on IP experience.

This is a full-time, in-office position (5 days per week) with compensation of $6,500 per month.

Qualifications

• Rising senior or Master’s student in Engineering (ME, EE, CE, or Physics) who will graduate in 2028.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and oral).
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving imagination.
• Strong drive and ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Meet with inventors to discuss and protect innovations.
• Draft and prosecute patent applications.
• Assist clients in asserting and defending IP rights.
• Conduct competitive landscape analyses.
