Job summary

HG Law LLP seeks a Technical Advisor Internship for rising seniors or Master's students in Engineering (ME, EE, CE, or Physics) graduating in 2028. The in‑office internship runs June–August 2027 in San Jose (and NYC) with mentorship from patent attorneys and hands‑on exposure to patent applications.

Responsibilities include meeting with inventors, drafting and prosecuting patent applications, assisting in IP rights actions, and conducting competitive analyses.

Qualifications

• Rising senior or Master's student in Engineering (ME, EE, CE, or Physics) who will graduate in 2028.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and oral).
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving imagination.
• A strong drive and willingness to own projects and see them to completion.
• An excellent academic record.
• You are a self-starter with a healthy curiosity and an interest in developing a career in intellectual property.
