Job summary

Platinum Legal Search Group, LLC is seeking an Intellectual Property Associate with 2–5 years of experience for our Phoenix, AZ office. The ideal candidate will be registered to practice before the USPTO, with patent drafting and prosecution experience, especially in software, telecom, medical, or mechanical arts.

Primary duties include drafting and prosecuting patent applications, with opportunities to broaden responsibilities within the IP practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with excellent academics.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Arizona bar admission in good standing and USPTO registration.

Responsibilities

• Draft provisional, non-provisional, and design patent applications for software/UI/gaming tech.
• Review and draft responses to patent Office Actions.
• Prepare patent prosecution documents (e.g., IDS, Responses to Notices of Missing Parts).
• Provide support in trademark matters, including responses to trademark Office Actions.
• Draft correspondence to foreign associates regarding patent/trademark prosecution and foreign proceedings.
