Job summary

Crowell & Moring LLP is seeking a mid-level associate to join our Intellectual Property practice in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Orange County, San Francisco or Washington, DC. The role requires 2–5 years of patent litigation experience in federal courts and a degree in CS/EE or a closely related technical field.

Hands-on coding experience is strongly preferred. Candidates must be a member of the state bar or eligible for admission by waiver, with excellent academics and strong

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of patent litigation experience in federal district courts.
• Drafting pleadings, motions and briefs; managing written discovery.
• Strong undergraduate/graduate degree in CS/EE or related technical field; hands-on coding experience preferred.
• Bar admission or eligible for admission by waiver; excellent academic credentials and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions and briefs for patent litigation.
• Manage written discovery and conduct legal research.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions and other phases of litigation.
