Mission Recruiting presents an opportunity for a Patent Litigation Associate with 3+ years of experience to join a nationally recognized litigation platform in California. You will handle complex infringement disputes, draft pleadings, manage discovery, and collaborate with clients, inventors, experts, and trial teams.

The role offers a 4-days-in-office, 1-day-remote schedule and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of patent litigation experience.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California State Bar admission.
• Strong patent infringement litigation experience.
• Ability to independently manage cases.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Meaningful deposition and court appearance experience.
• Technical fluency.
• Experience with Markman hearings, IPRs, dispositive motions, or trial preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Representing clients in complex patent infringement disputes.
• Drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and claim construction materials.
• Conducting legal and technical research.
• Developing strategies involving infringement, validity, enforceability, and damages.
• Managing discovery, document review, and production.
• Taking and participating in depositions.
• Handling expert discovery and coordinating with technical experts.
• Assisting with Markman hearings and IPR proceedings.
• Working on dispositive motions, trial preparation, and appeals.
• Collaborating directly with clients, inventors, experts, and litigation teams.
